[was found accepting telnet connections]

It had the following inetd.conf:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 3213 Mar 6 17:04 inetd.conf

This seems peculiar, so perhaps the file was touched
back? /var/adm/sulog only has:

SU 04/03 12:34 + console root-rfindd
SU 04/03 12:39 + console root-rfindd

but the machine was rebooted at 12:28. This seems particularly odd since
this machine was presumably reinstalled today (or someone found a neat
way of fixing it...; see recent thread in hotline & bug-sgi).

I've fixed the telnet line in inetd.conf and hupped inetd...

I guess this must be an install bug! I note that
pepe-lepew:/inst/srvd.2/etc/inetd.conf and
pepe-lepew:/inst/client/pemaquid/etc/inetd.conf both do not have
telnet commented out... The latter ls's the same (date and size) as
the file I found on -99, so I guess that's the bug.

--jhawk (who would still like to know the install procedure...)
