This is pretty impressive/pathetic. I found this machine in console
mode w/ a mountd error about wuarchive beting the only thing on the
screen this afternoon at about 2:00pm (So I got up late -- it's a Sunday).

I rebooted it, and forgot to check on it to make sure it was working.

Apparently nobody else got it working either, all day...

Anyway, I booted it single-user and removed the wuarchive entry
from fstab. Still no dice.

I booted it single user again, ran rc2 through sh -x, replaced
config-afs in the middle (I've left it that way), and observed
the problem was the S98xdm complained about /usr/lib/X11/nls/C.

I replaced it with the version from /inst on pepe-lepew.
(Incidently, could someone detail the network install procedure,
put it in the bootkit locker, or make hotdoc less fascist (perhaps
putting source-access on the acl like opdoc?)?).

At this point, things still didn't work.

I made a few attempts to reinstall the machine (getting as far
as setenv-ing netaddr, trying to boot lots of things off of
pepe-lepew, and deciding I ought to send this message before
falling asleep...); assuming I fail, someone should go reinstall
it I guess...
