Hi, I'm the graduate student manager of the linguistics and philosophy
cluster (20B-219). Currently, we have a private cluster with a public
printer--called `sum'. Recently, we added an ethernet hookup and
three Macs to our cluster, and I was told by Network services that as
long as sum is a public printer, we will not be able to print to sum
from the macs. First, I want to know if this is true, and second, if
it is true, I want to know how we can go about making sum a private
printer.
