I already sent this mail to ops, but wanted to include you
on the news.

I ran the following series of commands tonight on Mies to no
avail.
1) login as root on the console
2) activate the machine
3) rehash
4) track -n -c
The last command gives the message:
cleared /tmp/sys_rvd(something I can't remember right now).
I'll be happy to track down the error message for you if
that will help diagnose the problem.
