slow decstation in 1-115

Both last week and this week, we noticed that m1-115-16
runs significantly slower than other decstations in 1-115
for our class exercises. These exercises make extensive
use of swap space while running large binaries served
up as NFS files from pelli.mit.edu. For example,
ArcInfo and ArcView2 may have 10+ Mb resident while running
and the entire set of binaries for ArcInfo is about
400 Mb.
Please check m1-115-16 to see if there is any
reason why it should be running these routines
so much slower than the rest.
