Hi all,
Steve Ellis has been working to track down a reported problem
with Matlab. The only machine having the problem (matlab won't
start) is M1-142-8. He's tried various things to correct the
problem (letting the machine clean itself up while idle, rebooting
it, etc.), trying versions of matlab in various lockers, ...
and none of it has made a difference. He strongly suspects at
this point that perhaps this one workstation has been hacked in
some subtle way that affects Matlab. Could you please reinstall
this machine and send email to ellis@mit.edu when it is done?
Then he'll go and try to see if the Matlab problem is fixed.
