Dear Sir:

I logged onto workstation W20-575-21, at the login window. It logged in through
part of my .startup.X file. It did not yet reach any of my windows. It completed
the part where it displays the processes with usernames other than john or root.
There were four processes by username "elenidig."

Then the screen blanked, and it returned to the "Hit any key..." prompt. I hit
the key. Then three of my windows appeared (without borders and slightly offset),
along with the login window. I started sending a message to you, and got partway
through, until the screen flashed off again. It went back to the "Hit any key..."
prompt. I tried logging in again. This time it logged in properly, but then, a
little while later, it went back to the "Hit any key..."

I decided to reboot it. It may be okay, now --- someone else just logged in, and
it appears to be okay.
