First, I apologize for not sending this earlier. We have been without
our computers and I have been unable to send you information.
A cable has been cut in a manhole. All the breakers on the UTA bus
opened up. The following is a list of buildings that we believe were
affected initially:
54, 56, 57, 16, 68, E19, E15, E55, E53, E52, E51, 26, 18, 8,
16, 68, 36, 26, 13, 9, 31, 37, 35, 33, W45, W34, W91, W84, W71, W70 &
W61.
At approximately 11:15 am, the Utilities Group who is
responding to the emergency, estimated power to be restored to all the
buildings listed in approximately 1/2 hour. However, Buildings 16, 8
and parts of 6 will be out for an extended period of time. We have
been informed that 16 will be out for about 8 hours.
For further updates on the situation, please call x3-1300.
Periodic updates will be posted on a recorded message. I will also
send information via email as soon as the information is received by
us.
