Yearly Cluster Cleaning Schedule For The
Academic 1994/1995 School Year:
INDEPENDENT ACTIVITIES PERIOD
1/9/95 THRU 2/3/95
The following public clusters will be done during 3rd shift hrs.
with an 8:00pm to 8:00am closing. The public clusters will have
the following Done:
1. Dusting
2. All tables damp wiped
3. Floors washed
4. Floors waxed

THE CRITERIA NEEDED TO CLOSE A PUBLIC CLUSTER DOWN
FOR CLEANING IS AS FOLLOWS:
1. An MOTD needs to be requested to the 'op' group appox.
1 week before closings.
2. All printer queues need to be turned off, with a message
stating: closed due to cluster maintenance.
An Example: lpc> down bias due to cluster maintenance.
3. Public access code needs to be powered off.
4. Signs need to be posted (in and outside of clusters) 1
week before closings.
5. All hardware can remain powered on.
6. Bldg. Services (Authorized by Austin Petzke) will have
student summer help clean all interior glass in public
clusters that have windows. Ie. 11-116,11-113,66-080,
37 facility,4-035,E51-007, etc.. (AT NO CHARGE TO US)
7. Regular bldg. windows are done on a routine basis by
outside contractors.
8. The W20-575 facility will be handled strictly by Campus
Activities. Ie. rug cleaning,tables,vacuuming etc..
Campus Activities will let DCNS know when rug shampooing
or other major events are scheduled.
THE CRITERIA FOR RUG CLEANING ARE AS FOLLOWS:
*** The 4-167 and 11-113 rug cleaning will have to be
scheduled twice a year. Once during IAP, and again
in August.
So far 4-167 has been running at 80.00 dollars
(each time) for rug shampooing, and 11-113 has been
running (each time) at 160.00 dollars. These
estimates can be doubled for a yearly dollar amount.
The people that usualy clean these rugs are B & G.
The scheduling and estimate for the above rug cleaning
has to be done through Bldg.Services via a
requisition. ***
The above 3rd shift cluster cleaning dates have been
coordinated with myself and Mike Quinlin (3rd shift
supervisor), and has been approved by him.
The above 2nd shift cluster cleaning dates have been
coordinated with myself and Rui Borges (2nd shift
supervisor), and has been approved by him.
