Hi,
there is a decstation 3100 named "safdie" which is now in the Garden, 9-550.
We'd like to move it to the front desk of CRL for use in developing the CRL
Mosaic pages and other Athena usage by the staff and visitors. Mary O'Neil is
the Lab Coordinator who will be using the computer. She can be the contact for
where to put it, etc. Her phone number is x3-0779.
- The network subnet is the same, so there are no addresses to change.
- An existing thickwire drop is waiting for it at the front desk.
- Safdie is anchor-padded in the Garden, but won't need to be in the
office. So all we need someone to do is unlock the Garden anchor pad.
- we can leave the anchor pad base on the computer. And we can leave the
glued-on pad on the table (we may need it again soon.)
Mary can't move the computer herself, and Rob will be out of the office
Tuesday and Wednesday. Phil Thompson can help move it, or perhaps JJ's strong
back will suffice. Yay, JJ!
Please let us know how you'd like to proceed.
Thanks!
Rob
