Charon, one of SIPB's discuss servers had some problems after the server
outage tonight had a scsi problem. We narrowed the problem down to the
internal scsi connector and cables. Those parts are all connected to the
large metal shielding that covers the motherboard.
Since Charon is a server, we swapped the part from the hodge-podge, a DS3100
in the SIPB office.
Anyway, hodge-podge is in the SIPB office and in pieces. The broken part is
on top marked 'This needs to be replaced'. Please do so.
(no other piece of hodge-podge needs to be replaced)
SIPB folks: This means that backups cannot be done until hodge-pode is
reassembled.
