They can be locked so you can't change them. At this point some are
locked and some are not. At one time when a new printer was deployed
it got locked at boot time. This is not happening now. Brian and I discussed
it. This feature went away early last summer but can be done manually
without a problem.
But, I don't think the printer is the problem. Once a printer is set
up, with or without Apple Talk, it never has to be played with again.
Christi..... Can you shed some light on this. I don't know all the complaints
or the details of their printing methods........
Maybe add me to that resnet list for a while so I can comment as it goes.
John

I thought they could be locked so things can't be changed. Sounds
like we need to find out how they are being changed and then
re-install them so they are configured correctly. I have no idea how
this all works - I thought that there was a config' file that they
downloaded that set all this up correctly. Shouldn't power cycling
them get them to reload the correct configuration?
