Hi folks -
Sorry for the delay in list respose - I had spoken with JJ on the
phone on Tuesday, but hadn't types up my responses.
The film crew has arrived from NHK, the national television broadcaster
of Japan, and has a very tight schedule (they originally wanted to film
on Friday morning instead, which seemed to be an even worse idea).
They are being led by a former Athena consultant, Cyrus Shaoul. I
informed Cyrus when I first received the request (Monday night) that
he could not have chosen a worse time of year to visit, given that the
last day of classes is Friday.
As in times past, I have sent mail to hotline as a type of FYI
announcement, not as an order or service directive. I fully expected
to handle the sweep through the cluster, and to put up signs pleading
with students to leave their food at home, etc. Had I required Hotline's
help (which is always at the ready and wonderful), I would have tried
to arrange something well in advance.
Thanks for the mail. And hey, there are still free machines (but
not for long...)
