At ~6:30 I'll be taking Orf, one of the AFS database servers, out of
service to fix a hardware problem. Some workstations may get the "lost
contact..." message and hang for a few minutes while the workstation
switches over to another database server. This shouldn't cause any
major problems, but I thought I'd pass along the info incase you get
phone calls from users.
I plan on swapping Orf's hardware with one of the server hot spares. I suspect
we'll need to run diags on orf's original hardware. I'll follow with a
separate mail message.
Any questions, please ask. Listen to -i consult for real time status
updates.
