Printing problem

For some reason I don't seem to be able to print from my new Sparc5
workstation (whirlwind.mit.edu), located in my office (e40-359b).
I've tried printing to both hp-test and nil. While this machine
was just installed last week, I didn't have this problem before
the weekend, so I doubt the problem is installation-related.
Here is the message I get when FrameMaker tries to print directly to
hp-test:
Printer queue is disabled.
I have no problem printing directly to a postscript file, and I get
the same error message when I try to use "lpr" to print the file, so the
problem isn't with FrameMaker. Here are the messages I get when I try to
check the status of hp-test or nil:
athena[114]% lpq -Php-test
HOBBES.MIT.EDU... /usr/lib/lpd: dostest2: Host name for your address (18.177.0.169) unknown
athena[115]% lpq -Pnil
IO.MIT.EDU... /usr/lib/lpd: cheme0: Host name for your address (18.177.0.169) unknown
However, when I use the "hostname" or "hostinfo" commands they seem to work:
athena[123]% hostname
whirlwind
athena[124]% hostinfo whirlwind
Desired host: whirlwind
Official name: whirlwind.MIT.EDU
Host address: 18.177.0.81
Host info: SUN/SPARCSTATION-5/SOLARIS
