Topic: workstations
Question:
I am working on a vax 2000 in the 6001 lab.
A few minutes ago, while i was working, the machine rebooted itself.
In one window i was detaring a bunch of files, and in the
other, i was attached to another site via ftp.
First, error messages started overwriting my root window and
everything in it at the upper right hand corner..
i don't remember it all but i did see
segmentation fault and disk error among other things...
then the screen cleared and it rebooted within 30 secs...
now it seems fine...
within about 3 min's of my computer rebooting, the person
next to me's computer went completely blank with
a black screen and is not responding to anything...
do you have any ideas / explanations?...
