out of focus screens

On the VSIIs in 3-462, a number of the screens seem to have poor focus - you can
have more-or-less sharp letters, or you can have the screen bright enough to
read, but not both at the same time. (Some screens are worse than others.)
Is the any way that the user can adjust the focus on this equipment? Is this
what happens naturally when the monitors get old?
