Workstation w20-575-25 caused me some problems on the night of Thursday,
10 November / morning of Friday, 11 november. Soon after I logged in,
the console window disappeared and attempts to redisplay it with
% show_console
resulted in an error message indicating that there was no such process as
"console." At the end of my work session, when I typed "logout" in one of
my xterms, the only consequence was that that xterm disappeared; I was not
actually logged out. So, I typed "kdestroy" in another xterm, and was told,
"No tickets to destroy." I tried to reboot by pressing Stop-A, but that
key combination had no effect. After consulting a SIPB member, I unplugged
and then re-plugged the keyboard. This caused a beep, but Stop-A still
had no effect. Lastly, after being power-cycled, the system seemed to be
okay.
