Thanks.  I didn't know that.  I also hadn't noticed the different IP
address with the errors.  As you can see, I was on Vongole, a dialup,
so there was plenty of other network activity to/from there...

No, I don't have any other indication of network trouble.
Not that there was much I could do other than ping, anyway.
