There is an Athena computer in room 66-070 (CHEMERS0.MIT.EDU) that
has been down for quite some time, and we would like to have it back
in service.
I understand that a graphics card not supported by Athena was placed
in the machine some time ago. I was under the impression that Athena
would no longer be responsible for maintenance so long as we had that
graphics card in the machine. Since nobody has been using the machine
at all, we would like to remove the graphics card and bring the computer
back up as an Athena machine.
As far as my records show, we are still paying for Athena maintenance
on this machine.
If possible, please let me know in advance when you expect this work
to be done such that I can have the person who installed the card
present. (I don't think we have the keys to open the computer; otherwise,
we would remove the card first.)
