Subject: One-day shutdown of 2-032

We will be shutting down 2-032 for one day on Friday Sept. 30th in
order to install new software on the Macs and to fix some problems
with the SE/30 connected to the laser printer.
I'd appreciate it if first thing that morning (say, 8:30am) somebody
could go over and disable the electronic combination and get everybody
to leave the room. My hope is to finish the work by late afternoon.
When I'm done I'll send a notice to dcns-cluster that the electronic
combo can be re-enabled. I'll make up posters for the room announcing
the shutdown and give them to Carlton today.
Please update the Athena MOTD announcing this one-day maintenance
shutdown. Also include a warning that we are experiencing hardware
problems with the 2-032 fileserver, and installation of replacement
hardware on Friday Sept. 23 will result in some temporary service outages.
