Subject: AFS sync TONIGHT
From: "Richard Basch" <basch@MIT.EDU>
So as to avoid possible confusion...
Ted and I discussed the various problems that have been showing up in
the Moira critical log, with respect to AFS, and because there are some
rather distressing errors, it is thought best that we re-sync the AFS
prdb with Moira.
This has been discussed with Kim, and with dkk, and will be performed
sometime after 9pm this evening. Since the procedure takes awhile, it
is hard to predict the exact couple minutes where AFS will become a
little slow. During that time, a message to the Athena cell users will
be sent out via Zephyr.
(I am hoping to avoid any more confusion as happened with the printers
which was a result of a whole lot of mistakes, some of which were mine.)
