Hi Jerry -

I just found out that 5 DECstation 3100s in Mechanical Engineering are fairly
useless because they only have 12 Meg of RAM, and were never upgraded to 16
Meg when we upgraded the public clusters. Two questions:

1. Have any DECstations with a full 16 Meg of memory (or more?) come back
into stock that we could give to Mech Eng in exchange for their dogs? I
seem to remember seeing that the CRAY folks just returned their DS3100s.

or

2. How much would it cost us to add 4 Meg of RAM to each of 5 DS3100s at
this point? They're not due to be replaced for another year, and we should
at least try to make them useable.

                        Thanks - Naomi
