m37-318-12 having trouble with tk50 drive

Problem: tk50 drive red light is flashing, and drive was making loud
grinding noises. By pushing the tape load button in and out several times
I eventually got the red light to go out, so I could open the door and
stop the noises.
Red light on tape load button is still flickering. /usr/adm/messages
shows complaints about tms0.
Summary: DEC field service should look at the tk50 drive and its
controller.
