Folks: I just received a notice from the Physical Plant about pending
emergency power shutdowns. I asked the Physical Plant to send the notice
out electronically and they may do so later today. In the meanwhile I
want to advise you of the following.
Shutdowns of emergency power are related to the cogeneration project.
The first shutdown will be on Monday, July 11 from 7:00-7:30AM. The
second is on Monday, July 18 from 6:30-7:30AM. Buildings that will be
impacted by these shutdowns are:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,7A,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,16,18,20,24,26,31,33,34,35,36,37,
38,39,50,54,56,62,64,66,E1,E2,E3,E19,N9, and N10
Only emergency power is being shutdown. This impacts stairway lights and
exit signs. Telephones that are served by emergency power will be out of
service. Mechanical equipment will not be affected. Electrical lights
and electric equipment will not be affected with the exception of
special outlets serviced by emergency power.
Questions on the shutdown should go to the Physical Plant's Operation
Center.
