We will be lending 'porter' (the souped up RS6000 in the test cluster) to the
grad student office in IESL (1-249) for six months. The contact in the
department is Rory OConner (roryoc, x3-2626). They currently have a DS5000
that this will be replacing, but I'd prefer that you not bring that machine
back here yet without checking with me. I have an agreement with Trond
Kaalstad, the AO in Civil Engineering, to leave over there any DS5000s that
are being turned back to IS, just in case the department wants to move them
to Parsons Lab in building 48. I will know about that when I meet with the
Parsons folks this Monday.
