Hi,
This is Greg Osborne, manager of the OE Athena Cluster. One of our
DECstation 3100's is making a humming noise which appears to be coming
from the fan. Here is the requested information about the sick
machine:
Machine type: DECstation 3100
Machine name: CUTTY-SARK
Desired host: m7-321-2
Host address: 18.58.0.64
CPU serial #: AB90701SEX
Location: 7-321 (OE Athena Cluster room)
Phone number: x3-0050
I have halted the system and turned off the machine in an effort to
prevent further damage. I have also left a similar message with the
Hardware Hotline answering machine. Thank you for your attention.
