1) The cluster info for m1-142-22 is for a DECstation, and 'hostcheck'
alos shows that it is a DECstation. So...the cluster info is right for it.
2) The user complained:
"I just logged in m1-142-22 without customizations,
and after logging in I did: echo $hosttype and got sun4!!!!
...has happened to me on other machines in this cluster."
3) Since a DECstation should return 'decmips' (not 'sun4'), either:
- all the machines have be "hacked" in a weird way, or
- more likely, the user sets the variable incorrectly in a
dotfile.
If this user is the only one complaining about machines in this cluster,
it is likely a "user error". If you want to be sure, you could login on
m1-142-22 and 'echo $hosttype' and see what it returns. (If it returns
'sun4', then the machine should probably be reinstalled. I'll bet it
returns 'decmips'....)
