Caller: Hong Hu, x3-0732.
Private Decstation 5000 (Not athena wkstation) had a hard disk crash.
Had Dec come in and they ran a utility program which checks for system
errors. That program runs constantly (is still running) and takes up 90%
of the CPU time, which makes the machine v. slow. The program
(/etc/elcsd) is only supposed to run when there is a system error. They
are wondering if they can do something about this.
