One of our members (Linda Julien) mentioned the problems we are having
with PODGE to a friend of hers who happens to work for DEC.  He said
something to the effect of "Oh yeah, that happens all the time; it
means the simm is not seated properly in its slot.  Removing and
reinserting it will fix the problem."

SIPB members are pefectly capable of performing such an operation
although we have not done so (since we have previous been told such
activities fall on the "no-no" list).
