Last time I checked, most or all of the VAXen in the western end of
room m34-501 (the 6.001/6.004 lab) still had /.klogin files. (The
files are apparently left over from last fall's rush, when the
machines were used for Clearinghouse.) Of course, the entries are
for kerberos tickets in the CLH.MIT.EDU domain (clearinghouse), but
they're there, and have been so since last august.
I've been told by a member of the EECS/ECF staff that these machines
are still being taken care of by Athena folks... which is why I'm sending
mail to hotline instead of EECS people.
Could you re-install these machines? They should be installed as are ordinary
cluster machines.
