hi hotline!
i'm sorry to pester you like this, but we really need to get this
workstaion to work better. often times, it just hangs for ever, and
then the following message pops up in the console window, maybe that
tells you something about the problem.
NFS server aphrodite.MIT.EDU not responding, giving up
NFS getattr failed for server aphrodite.MIT.EDU: TIMED OUT
that is not th eonly problem though, 'cause it was extremely slow even
before aphrodite went down. thanks for your help.
