Rather than repair the VS3100 at WHOI, I think everyone pretty much
agrees that it would be better to replace the machine with a maxine.
I think we can spare a maxine from server stock to do this.
Brian's going to call WHOI to see if this is acceptable to them. If
so he'll make the necessary arrangements for the delivery of the maxine
and return of the vs3100.
