Jonathan Weiss is also having this problem on his Sun. Bob Mahoney experienced
this on his maxine (running layered-athena), but I don't know to what
extent.

From my console:

This yo-yo-ing has been going on since about 12 for me. I rebooted after the
first instance of this, and found that I'd get a kerberos error and was
unable to login...after waiting a few minutes, I was able to get back in,
but the sporadic lossage is still happening. Sometimes I am unable to inc
my mail, and I'll lose access to my homedir as well. This does not happen
on my DECstation 3100. Jonathan noted that his DECstation is being a little
slow (I haven't noticed this on mine).
