Subject: 3 Mac IIci's ready to be returned to 2-032.
Date: Wed, 22 Dec 93 15:22:30 EST
From: "Reid M. Pinchback" <reidmp@MIT.EDU>
JJ & John:
The 3 IIci's in the staging area (m2-032-6,7, and 9) are ready to
be returned to room 2-032. When you get a chance, please take them
over and place them in their original locations. 2 of the machines
are on the tables in the staging area, and the 3rd machine is
sitting underneath. The cables, keyboards, and mice are in the
box sitting in front of m2-032-9. There are only 2 mice, so you'll
need to get a 3rd one from the replacement stock you ordered. (The
mouse was missing when we took the machines out of the room originally.)
All that remains to be done is to configure MacTCP once they are
placed in the room. If, based on our last session in the room, you
want to try that yourself, go for it. Nobody will be using the room
until January 3rd, so if you run into any snags while I'm away, it
won't cause a problem. I'll be away for Xmas starting Wednesday of
this week. I'll be returning Wednesday of next week to fix up the
room for IAP. An IAP class starts using the room on Monday Jan. 3rd.
Gerry:
One of the machines I fixed was the one that had the wrong type of
ethernet card. I swapped out the card for a new one, and so I no
longer need the transceiver that you loaned to me. The transceiver
and cable are in my office when you want them.
Thanx guys, and best of the season to you all!
