Don't panic, this isn't what I would normally call 'hotline' material,
but I didn't know where else to start. Please forward to the appropriate
people if this isn't up your alley.

I am looking into getting an Athena account, but because I'm not on Campus
(I work at Lincoln Lab), I would need some sort of dial-in access. I would
be dialing in from home, where I have a 14400 baud modem in a 66 MHz '486
PC. I'm already talking to User Accounts about the paperwork end of things,
but before I proceed, I want to make sure that I can deal with the hardware/
software issues on my PC. Is there PPP or SLIP access to Athena? Is there
special software I will need on my PC to communicate with the system?
