The message on the screen was "Workstation failed to finish activating" or
something like that. That usually means the network cable is unhooked, since
the workstation gets most of its system software over the network.
I rebooted the computer and saw it hang at the "Setting time... " message, which
is the first time it actually tries to contact network-based services.
I looked at the back of the machine, saw the disconnected cable, and hooked it
back up. Then the workstation finished activating.
Someone's big feet are probably the culprit in dragging the cable enough to
disconnect it. I'll try to fasten the cable to the table in some way so it
doesn't do that anymore.
