safdie is now where it will live forever...

Safdie's adolescence(sp?) was troubled, starting as an unsupported athena
decstation, then as a VRC-supported ultrix decstation, then as an
athena-supported decstation, then motherboard troubles, then...

Safdie lives in 9-551. Hesiod should be updated to reflect this. I do a
`hesinfo safdie cluster` and get: "syslib e40-dmusys", so I think hesiod is in
fact fine, and any "no hesiod information for safdie" are actually related to
network outages along the delni cables here, some of which are not necessarily
working very well.

Question to athena operations: who do I contact to get the cables we do have
tested and workding again?

Thanks!
Rob

Safdie is shown as residing in 9-514, not 9-526. Might 9-514 have
been an error, or did the workstation get moved?

That's normal. The system tries to use any swap devices it can find,
and it tries additional disks even if you don't have any.

About the Hesiod problem, please attach the info locker, and run

	/mit/info/identify_ws.csh

to give us some more information on your problem.
