Senator-bedfellow, our news server, has logged 4 hard errors, 5 retry
errors, and 7 soft errors since Saturday, all on the RZ25 (internal)
disk.
It is absolutely essential that we replace this disk before
Thanksgiving. The best time would be tonight (Tuesday) at around 8pm.
This is the third rz25 we've had fail on this machine in the past two
months; we've only had this one for a few weeks. We need a different
kind of drive, such as a Fujitsu drive, which has been proven to work
under high load.
I would like to talk with someone from hotline about this this
afternoon after my classes (which end at 3pm), if possible.
