Hello Stephen,
I managed to boot the DECStation guilder. There was a
wedge at the console level. I cleared it with the 'init'
command and reset the boot parameters to boot the internal
rz23.
GUILDER is up and running.
It is at version 7.6c when the current version is 7.6g. track
compares the system files with what it should be. There are
many customizations.
I don't see any hardware errors in the status log and
self tests also are clear. I suspect software.
Options;
1. set AUTOUPDATE to true to go to 7.6g
2. backup the internal disk and let me format
and reload software onto the internal disk.
3. Live with the crashes (bogus option).

do at this point.

Matilda says she needs help using her Mac (franc) to access
the DECStation. The DECStation is not recognised in her choiser.
She asked me to tell you this.
