seurat's disk 1 has died

an h310, the server's second disk drive stopped functioning recently. During
boot time we get messages about timeouts on the device. On this disk was the
crlcad locker. Fortunately I had backup tapes. Its principal user is not here
fulltime this semester so you did not hear about it the *moment* it happened.
Nevertheless, the disk needs to be replaced.
the crlpc locker was converted to pc-rvd space when aprhodite went away. However
pc-rvd does not work because of timing problems with the faster, local server.
I do not want rvd back. Therefore, I would like the space now taken up by the
rvd stuff to be turned back into a unix filesystem named crlpc, as it was before.
Thus, dave and others, please do not remove the crlcad and crlpc lockers from
Moira.

The crlcad and crlpc lockers appear to be no more. The disks they
were on seem to be missing, as well. Are crlcad and crlpc expected
back, or should we remove them from Moira?
