Two login prompts

I tried to log in to this workstation (M16-034-24) today, and after
a fair delay after giving my username and password the machine again
gave me a login prompt. Unfortunately I wasn't looking at the screen
at the time, so I don't know if some kind of error was printed in the
console window. I'm mentioning this only because this is the behavior
one might expect from a program which pretends to be the login
program, accepts and records a username and password and then logs
out. Logging in a second time was successful.
