The following fire alarm shutdown and *live audible testing request for Bldg. 2 - All, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 through Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6:00am - 2:00pm, with the *live audible testing on Thursday, April 21, 2016 and Friday, April 22, 2016, from 6:00am - 7:30am, is for your information and response. We request bldg 2 fire alarm shutdowns (trouble only if not live testing) from 6 AM to 2 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, April 19th, 20th, 21st and from 6 to 7:30 AM on Friday, April 22nd for Bennett Electric/Schneider Electric to add bldg automation system monitoring of the bldgs emergency power automatic transfer switches and then isolate that monitoring from the fire alarm system monitoring. We will need to test the bldgs three ATS's (elevator power, auxiliary power, life-safety power) on the morning of the Thurs the 21st after which some fire alarm programming may be required. We may conduct some brief *live testing of the bldg 2 fire alarm system between 6 AM and 7:30 AM on Thursday and Friday mornings, April 21st and 22nd* and as part of the 2 Math renovation project by Bond Brothers (Blake Wilcox 617-895-8004). Marty Deluga 4-5081 is the MIT project manager. v
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *live audible testing.
