I requested this list based on discussions I had with Peter Delaney.
My main concern was that modem pool problems reported by users of the
CPTs (Athena and EREQ) were not being addressed and not being tracked.
The list is owned by "5help-acl" and NOT by me - you can add anyone
that you wish to the list. I do want to point out that there was a
concern about the availablility of the information - which is why we
did NOT archive mail to the bug-dialup list and why I made the list
and discuss meeting private.
I would like to announce the list to the groups that support CPT
users. I was thinking of something like:
Modem pool problems bug-modem-pool@MIT.EDU
CPT problems bug-cpt@MIT.EDU
Athena dial-up problems bug-dialup@MIT.EDU
EREQ problems ??? (wanted to check w/Paul)
The idea was that modem pool problems would be tracked and addressed
by Telecom, CPT problems by MITnet operations, Athena problems by
Athena operations, and EREQ problems by Purchasing. I'll let you
notify people about the list if you prefer. You certainly can also
announce the mailing list to other modem pool users. I hope this
addresses your concerns.
