The following fire alarm shutdown and *live audible testing request for Bldg. 18 - all, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, and Friday, January 29, 2016, from 6:00am - 2:00pm, and Monday, February 1, 2016, from 6:00am - 10:00am, with *live testing on Friday, January 29, 2016 and Monday, February 1, 2016 from 6:00am - 8:00am, is for your information and response. Reason:
We request bldg 18 fire alarm shutdowns on Thursday, Friday and Monday, January 28th, 29th and February 1st, 2016 as follows;
from 6 AM to 2 PM on Thurs/Fri, Jan 28th/29th for Aldon Electric (Roger Thibault 617-908-0677/Keith Dube 978-857-7414) and Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to clear 3rd party punchlist item and rework subbsmt and 1st floor annunciator panel LED's; and from 6 AM to 10 AM on Mon, Feb 1st to conduct 3rd party testing, which will be witnessed by JMBCo (Wayne Maginnis 617-212-2059). We will conduct *live audible testing of the bldg 18 fire alarm system between 6 and 8 AM on Fri 1/29 and Mon 2/1* followed by silent testing until 10 AM (or completion) and as part of the 18-083/087 Prof Schlau-Cohen lab renovation project by JLL (Niles Carter 617-590-0734/Steve Pizzuto 617-212-0519).
Drew Murphy 4-7856 and Joe Collins 3-3621 are the MIT project managers.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *live audible testing.
