M1-142-22 seems to have a flaky clock

It keeps giving these messages in the console window every 10 minuters:
19:30 afs: setting clock ahead 2 seconds (via 18.158.0.22 in cell athena.mit.edu).
19:40 afs: setting clock ahead 3 seconds (via 18.158.0.22 in cell athena.mit.edu).
19:50 afs: setting clock ahead 2 seconds (via 18.158.0.22 in cell athena.mit.edu).
20:00 afs: setting clock ahead 3 seconds (via 18.158.0.22 in cell athena.mit.edu).
20:10 afs: setting clock ahead 2 seconds (via 18.158.0.22 in cell athena.mit.edu).
maybe a flaky motherboard???
