Folks: For your information, the Octel voice mail system is out of
service. I reported the outage to Octel last night about 8:25PM. A tech
attempted to repair the outage remotely but could not do so. He came
into MIT around 11:00PM and has been here since. I just talked with him.
A system file board is out and unless the problem is corrected the
information stored on our disk drives can be corrupted. He has been
working with the Octel technical center and they too are having problems
correcting the problem. In the meanwhile the system is down; persons
calling 258-6245 (25MAIL) will only get back ring-back. You'll be kept
posted.
