The major problem of overload on the printers from students printing the
3.091 lecture notes was that the entire semester's worth of notes were
readable and printable (the size of a book). Prof. Witt had told the
students to print out only the first week's worth of notes, but you can
imagine how much impact that had. I've just spoken with him and he agreed to
release the notes only one week's worth at a time, so as to enforce this.
He will also make the notes available at Graphic Arts for those students who
prefer not to use up their print quota on this or who want the entire set
right now.
This should ease the problem and put it back to managable size.
