Dialup problem

Shortly before 23:00 on Sunday I had a serious problem with cannelloni
(sp?). I had dialed in, and been connected with cannelloni, and
requested "athena-dec". At the "login: " prompt I typed (correctly)
my user name (this account), and at the "password:" prompt gave my
password. Then it gave me a "password incorrect" message. I figure
it was a typo, and go through this again, ony more carefully. This
time it tells me "principal unknown (kerberos)". I check my username
(no typos). I do this a couple of times, slowly working up to a
panic, each time recieving the principal unknown message. Then it
times out. Back at the pasta prompt, I request athena (instead of
athena-dec). Same problem; first it tells me wrong password, then it
doesn't know who I am until it times out. Another user with me then
leaned over my shoulder and tried two other athena accounts he has
access too, and they got the same response. At that point I toggled
power to my connection, and tried again from scratch; I got tortellini
and was fine.
Hope it's not serious.
