Ugh! All the new computers have mice with little balls in them. They STINK!
The DEC 5000's are mostly equipped with two wheels on the bottom, one which
turns for vertical motion, and one which turns for horizontal motion. I've
never used one of those that acted badly. Motion is always smooth and
they work reliably.
However, on the mice with mouse-balls, the balls quickly collect dirt, as
well as the metal rollers inside, and the stop working right.
I am using a new computer (M16-034-5) and the mouse already doesn't move to
the right very well. (Well the mouse moves, but the cursor doesn't.)
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this kind of complaint (tt's more
feedback on purchasing than bug-related), so I'd appreciate any help directing
this letter to a more appropriate place.
